The Busy Project

Martin Jarvie of the KLM Partnership is seen here presenting a cheque to the Busy Projects volunteer Laura Gordon at the Youth Cafe in the Open Door Uphall.

The Busy Project works with a hundred or more young people each year in the Uphall and Broxburn areas of West Lothian, helping them reach their potential. They work across the community including in the local secondary school, churches and in the community café. Through formal and informal group work, one to one sessions and drop in activities, staff and volunteers help develop resilience, community capacity and leadership skills.

The cheque will benefit around 20 young people that attend the Café to chat and play games every Friday.

The KLM Partnership are particularly delighted to help The Busy project reach their aim of increasing young people’s sense of Community.
