The second phase of the North Fintry regeneration for Abertay Housing Association saw provision of 56 housing units among which were 12 flats for the re-integration into the community of tenants with special needs. As with the first phase, the partnering agreement saw lightweight timber construction, Rendalath polymer render system, Eternit wall cladding and energy efficient Nuaire ventilation systems employed with great success. Among the challenges faced on this project was the management of the construction of homes on a number of gap sites situated between existing housing. Close liaison with the Client and their tenant bodies and local community representatives helped minimise the disruption caused.
