KLM were appointed as Cost Consultants / Quantity Surveyors / Risk & Value Managers
Key Aspect
Provision of various new and refurbished buildings (28 in total) to provide accommodation, office, training and medical facilities together with major infrastructure and garage and maintenance facilities.
To provide modern facilities and infrastructure for a light infantry battalion within a short timescale.
Budget constraints were set following option appraisals and managed using change control system and risk management techniques adopting an average risk allowance for the project which is then managed throughout the project to provide a value for money solution using value management techniques.
