Key Aspect
This Project is now in its fourth Phase of development within the scheme to develop new homes for sale and affordable rent within a partnership between Eildon Housing Association and Persimmon Homes.
The Project is located in the Easter Langlee district of Galashiels in the Scottish Borders where there is a significant need for affordable housing. Whilst Persimmon Homes have been developing homes for private sale, they have also been engaged by the Association to build:
- 20 private homes as part of Phase 1.
- 25 homes as part of Phase 2A,
- 26 homes in Phase 2B
- and a further 63 units in phase 3 expected to commence in 2Q 2017.
The KLM Partnership have been engaged by Eildon Housing Association to provide Employers Agent Services to the various phases of this project through our Framework Agreement with the Association.
The houses built for the Association have been built to achieve the ‘Silver Standard’ for affordable homes and are designed to meet Housing for varying needs and Secure by Design Standards. The Phases included infrastructure to serve each phase and were landscaped in accordance with the plan agreed with the Local Planning Authority.
