A Learning and Resource Centre in the heart of the University of Edinburgh Kings Building Campus. The naturally ventilated building using cross ventilation and stack effect is now known as the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library in honour of the pionerring molecular biologists.
Designed as a two storey podium hub incorporating at lower levels a cafe, soft study spaces and meeting areas with the upper floors reserved for quieter study areas.
The ethos was to create a shared facility for all the various departments within the College of Science and Engineering.
