Brian C Paterson

Brian is Managing Partner of KLM’s CDM Coordinator division since the inception of CDM in April 1995.

Brian is the Practice’s Safety Adviser, responsible for providing advice on Health & Safety matters and ensuring that the Health & Safety Management System complies with current legislation.

Experience

Brian is a highly experienced Chartered Surveyor and CDM Coordinator who has been in charge of a wide variety of projects ranging from small alteration work to major new build projects. Brian worked as a Managing Surveyor in the contracting sector for six years after qualifying in a professional practice office. Brian’s early spell on the contracting side provided him with a good insight into the working of the industry and gave him the confidence and knowledge to take responsibility for the successful financial outcome of a range of varied projects.

The exposure to the contracting side also gave Brian his first awareness of and interest in health and safety issues faced by the industry.
